We emphasize effective training as a prerequisite to the successful implementation of our software products. During training you will receive critical, step-by-step guides on how to do specific loans.
Our continuing education options can help ensure you make productive use of new features and expanded functions added to subsequent software releases.
Our goal is to teach you the skills you need to use our software productively and efficiently and to provide this training in a patient, fun, and comfortable learning environment.
To accomplish this, our Professional Services / Product Training Department offers a variety of training options, either held at our Training Centers in Waltham, MA, via the Web, or at your own financial institution. These events include:
- Introductory Training - For new users
- Advanced Seminars - For experienced Medici users
- Web-Based - Continuing Education on special topics
Our staff consists of experienced software-training and implementation specialists who apply adult learning principles in our instructor-led, participant-centered events.
Introductory training
Introductory training is required for first-time users of Medici.
This introductory class is designed for new Medici users. The workshop focuses on the fundamental skills needed to use Medici and its modules effectively to produce loan documentation.
Our approach to software training is instructor-led and participant-centered. Skills learned in the workshop are applied immediately and reinforced in hands-on exercises. Practice time is incorporated into the course to apply and augment skills by using the software and processing different types of transactions.
Course Content:
You will learn how to configure Medici for the needs of your financial institution and how to process commercial loans using the software. This includes:
- Navigating and using the main modules (Create Documents, Relationship Module, Transaction Module, Basic Admin)
- Setting up your financial institution's lender information, users, policy profiles, and rate plans
- Processing application-related documents
- Step-by-step documentation to create a commercial mortgage, working capital line of credit, equipment line of credit, construction loan, or a 3rd party mortgage
- Creating and using customizable products specific to your institution to make loan processing more efficient, accurate, and consistent
- Saving and recalling transactions then updating and regenerating specific documents
- Maintaining Medici by deleting documents, identifying key activities to complete after training as you begin implementation of Medici at your financial institution
Duration:
- Two days (8:30 AM to 4:00 PM)
Cost:
- $5,000 for two-day training program (plus travel expenses)
- Location: At your site for up to eight (8) attendees. We allow training of a few extra, non-licensed users (i.e., bank policy managers, IT staff)
- Two-day training at our site: $2,995
Note: Travel-related expenses and coordination are the responsibility of the financial institution.
Virtually Live
Live Web Sessions Offer a Virtual Classroom Setting
Our web sessions create a dynamic virtual classroom that allows you to see and hear a live presentation, ask the trainer questions, and hear questions from other class members. Web technology, with minimal system requirements, allows you to see the software in use as the trainer demonstrates its capabilities.
Our Web-Based Software Training provides topic-specific continuing education for Medici. Our classes are cost-effective and convenient, with a software specialist leading a live, interactive virtual classroom right on your computer desktop.
Please ask for details about specific pricing according to your online training needs. Generally, prices start at $199/hour for Live Advanced Online Training modules.
Prerequisites
- Installation of Medici and set up in your training environment
- Windows 2000 NT or XP
- Participants should feel comfortable using a mouse and with the basic features of Microsoft® Windows® applications
- At least one participant should have a thorough understanding of your organization's lending policies, loan processes, and loan products
- At least one participant should be familiar with your state and federal regulations
