Microsoft® has announced that support for Windows® XP will end on April 8, 2014. After this date, security updates, non-security hot fixes and technical assistance will no longer be available.
For more information, visit the Microsoft website.
Additionally, the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) has issued a statement on how Financial Institutions should handle the sunset of Windows XP.
For more information, visit the FFIEC website and review the October 7, 2013 press release.
To ensure that safety, soundness and the ability to deliver products and services are not compromised; Wolters Kluwer Financial Services will conform to Microsoft’s mandate and will no longer support our software products in a Windows XP environment after April 8, 2014.
We encourage you and your IT staff to begin working with local vendors now to determine a migration plan for any existing Windows XP computers. Only your institution can identify, assess and manage the potential operational risks of continued deployment of this operating system after this date.
